John and I stayed in a convent in Vatican City for almost a week while we were looking for an apartment to rent. We asked for a double room, and they gave us a very pleasant one. It had a large balcony, a view of the dome at the Vatican, wireless internet, and two twin beds! Nevertheless, we were so thankful to have a place to rest our heads, put our bags down, and get oriented. Breakfast was at 7:30 every morning, and our curfew was midnight. An added bonus was that I got to explore the city while John was at work! Here are some photos from our first week of adventuring.
We are so grateful to our friends and family who contributed so much to make this trip possible. We are treasuring our time here so much, and we will remember it for the rest of our lives!
